This book, containing a series of excerpts from the life of St. Francis of Assisi, is written so poetically and from the perspective of St. Francis himself. When reading each story, I feel as if I am walking beside St. Francis as he experiences the joys and sorrows that resulted from his "Yes!' to the Lord. Beautifully written!

Love this book, but then, I love everything Murray Bodo has written. I had the pleasure of meeting him last year.
Really quite good. Having been to Assisi recently, feeling the presence of Saint Francis and Saint Clare, I can say that reading this book brought me back there intimately feeling the presence of these two amazing people of 13th century Assisi. I highly recommend this book and of course, to take the pilgrimage to Assisi in person. An amazing place of peace and reflection of God's Love as understood by Francis and Clare. Enjoy!!!
Wonderful book. This was my introduction to Saint Francis, and I loved the novel like style. The prose is beautiful; the messages clear. Father Bodo is truly blessed with talent and this book can really change you for the better.
